Spotlight author Heather B. Moore

Mother's WeekInstead of a Mother’s Day, I prefer to celebrate a Mother’s Week, which is exactly what I do. Each year I’ve improved upon this celebration (and hope to expand it to a delicious month, but all in good time).
Daily I choose a mothering perk to give me that delightful dangling carrot. These perks help me make it through sleep-deprivation, moldy discoveries under the couches, last-minute “I forgot” chauffeur trips, administering to broken bones and repairing shredded self-esteems, and somewhere in there fix a healthy, nutritious, loved by all dinner.
Back to the perks. These include, but are not limited to: Ritter with hazelnuts, Downton Abbey (am I the only one that hasn’t seen past Season 2?), reading a book—ANY fabulous book, taking a nap, eating at Costa Vida for lunch JUST BECAUSE I’M AN ADULT AND I CAN, taking a bubble bath that doesn’t involve Thomas squeezy toys or floaties in the water, and ignoring all bedlam after 9 p.m. BECAUSE IT’S MOTHER’S WEEK, PEOPLE.
I encourage you to enjoy the wonderful wins and deals we have provided for you this week. To us, these are a few of your very own perks. And we hope you will enjoy, relish, and savor every one.
This year, ENJOY the Mother’s Day celebration. Looking forward to starting it mid-April next year…
Happy Mother’s Week,
Connie

Heather Moore

Spotlight on USA Today Bestselling Author, Heather B. Moore

[If you haven’t read one of Heather’s books, do yourself a favor—get one TODAY. Is there anything this woman can’t write? She has a gift, a gene, an almost inhuman ability to write in any genre, with a beautiful, meaningful, and enjoyable style. Heather has done it again with Divinity of Women: Inspiration and Insights from Women of the Scriptures, Heather Moore & S. Kent Brown. Her co-author is, incidentally, her father (didn’t I mention the gene in there somewhere??) Insight is the right word, and you will find many to read and re-read, ones that hit you just right for personal life. When it comes to the spiritual, Heather is at her masterful best.]

Heather B. Moore is a USA Today bestselling author of more than a dozen historical novels and thrillers, written under pen name H.B. Moore. She writes women’s fiction, romance and inspirational non-fiction under Heather B. Moore. This can all be confusing, so her kids just call her Mom. Heather attended Cairo American College in Egypt, the Anglican School of Jerusalem in Israel, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Utah.
She roped her scholarly father, Dr. S. Kent Brown, into co-authoring this book with her. Dr. Brown is the author of scores of doctrinal works, and scripture commentaries, and he is the Executive Producer of the Messiah film series. His educational background includes a PhD in Religious Studies, and he’s served as the Chair of Ancient Scripture at BYU, the Director of the BYUJerusalem Center, EditorinChief of the Journal of Book of Mormon Studies, and Associate Director of the Neal A. Maxwell Institute. He currently serves as the New Testament scholar consultant for the LDS.org film vignettes on the Savior’s life.
Divinity of Women_COVERScriptural history is replete with tales of strong women from all walks of life: from the humble handmaiden to the mighty priestess, each demonstrates the eternal truth of our divine worth. A thought-provoking celebration of the potential of womanhood, Divinity of Women explores scriptural accounts of women from each of the standard works—both those who allowed themselves to be refined by the challenges of life and those who chose not to turn to Christ in their moments of need. By linking scriptural women’s experiences with modern applications, this powerful volume will inspire women to boldly confront life’s challenges on the path to divinity.
Divinity of Women: Inspiration and Insights from Women of the Scriptures can be purchased on AmazonDeseret Book, and Seagull Book.
