More Connie Tips on Getting Fit and Fab!

Weighing Scales*Weigh and measure only once a week, on a Friday morning. Don’t do it Monday after you’ve been a little more lax during a weekend. That gives you time to rein your habits back in and work it off during the weekdays
*Don’t focus only on a  weight loss number. Use it if helps but don’t let it be the only way you measure your results. I typically weigh more than I measure because of my muscle make-up. To determine your improvement use a pair of pants, a favorite outfit, a size, or even energy level (i.e., walk up the stairs without getting winded, desire to play with your kids, etc.) And track it!
*Live! I’ll address nutrition next but this is so key. In Faithful, Fit & Fabulous it’s what I call “intuitive living”. Life is to be lived not spent calorie/fat/carb counting each second of the day. My husband and I went to dinner last Friday night and I ordered smoked salmon with veggie and soup. The waitress said they plated my food wrong and had included a slice of prime rib. Yes, I’m being highly aware of what I eat at this particular stage. And, I’m going to live! I enjoyed that delicious prime rib slice, as well as splitting a piece of banana cream pie with my husband. And I still had lost two pounds by the next Monday! Intuitive living helps you avoid binge eating or inappropriate food focus.
These are tips that I’m reminding myself of, and practicing daily. Hope you enjoy them too!
Best,
Connie
P.S. “Just received some initial files from one of the photographers at the workshop, Melanie Lang. Chubba is so adorable! She did a fabulous job with him, capturing beautiful shots. This one took me right back to the photo shoot in France–gorgeous location, great set up and he absolutely played to the camera, what a hoot!” CLICK HERE to view the photos.
