Got Joy? Ingrid found it!

Check out this FABULOUS guest post from mother of nine and Mother of Year 2011, Ingrid Sorensen, who candidly dishes on how to get joy in your life.
From Ingrid:
“Over the years I noticed something: my dear husband is super good at finding things he
loves to do, then making time to do them. In the midst of stressful work and life, he has FUN. Though I needed that too, I sat around waiting-for many years and several children-for it to somehow magically happen. Newsflash! My kids nor my husband-bless their well-meaning hearts-were never going to say “Wow, you need some fun in your life. Here, let me do (blank) for you.” It was up to ME.
So, I bit the bullet.  I researched where I could take a ballet class, a dream from my youth, found one and filled out the forms right there. POW! That fast I became, and still am, a ballet student. So what if I’m a 40-year old in a college-level ballet class with a bunch of 18 and 20 year olds. Who cares?! I’m happy, fulfilled and have something joyful to look forward to twice a week while NOT thinking about the 8 zillion other things I have to do. The huge dorky smile on my face from ballet lasts all day. Suddenly, the effort of finding early morning child care, jumping through hoops to qualify for the class, and coming home to being a little “behind” on morning chores are so worth it.”

Ladies, what great advice!! I hope this week, you find something wonderfully happy to create or enjoy in your life.
Best,
Connie
