kate pic[Kate Rose Lee is hysterical! Read her book for 5 minutes and you will laugh yourself silly! She is down to earth, relatable, and pulls no punches especially when it comes to motherhood. Enjoy this memoir about her life growing up as one of ten children with a crazy, happy, radical mom whom she adores. Enter to win her book, A Half Fast Memoir…CLICK HERE]
BIO: I am a Mom of three, a wife and a writer. I have written a suspense novel as well as a humorous memoir. My latest project-a suspense screen play-won a private consultation with the owners of Script pipeline as part of their “Next Best Movie Idea” contest. Currently I write for KSL’s Uplifting section. I adore writing and especially making people laugh. My ultimate goal is to be real. I want women to feel good about themselves-every part-the good, the bad and the ugly. We certainly aren’t perfect, but we’re all doing a pretty good job and that’s something. If by throwing my own self under the bus by divulging my mistakes, funny moments and “bad” parenting, I can make you feel better about you, then I’m happy!
THUMBNAIL_IMAGE“Growing up in a family of twelve, things were at times “Half Fast”, but that’s when life got hilarious. Half Fast is a collection of bizarre but true stories from my life. Stories like Mom wanting to sacrifice a lamb in our suburban backyard, signing my brother and I up for a pain study and giving me my dead Grandma’s tights for Christmas. Also included are my personal bad choices like running a marathon, hypnobirthing, and assaulting myself with my own arm. Whether you are laughing with us or at us, it only matters that you are laughing. Enjoy!”

Mother's DayI so hope you’ve been pampering and perking your lovely self this week, enjoying more leisure time (as you run to three different places within minutes of each other), more life reflection (as you shovel down a Wendy’s cheeseburger on the way to taking four children to the dentist), and more moments of savoring your children (as you threaten to throw their iPod in the toilet if they don’t clean said toilet in the next three minutes).
The joys of celebrating Mother’s Week, I mean, Day.
Above all, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY. Whatever you do to celebrate, choose ONE thing that matters most to you, and do it, buy it, experience it, rejoice in it. Because after that, a scary child-made breakfast or surprise pair of sequined cowboy boots won’t look so bad after all.
Hugs and Luvs,
Connie
