“Moving your mountains may require a miracle. Learn about miracles. Miracles come according to your faith in the Lord. Central to that faith is trusting His will and timetable—how and when He will bless you with the miraculous help you desire. Only your unbelief will keep God from blessing you with miracles to move the mountains in your life.” –Russell M. Nelson
Several months ago I had the impression to work with women in a more specific way. To help them fulfill their purpose in their sphere whatever that might be–restoring furniture, mindfulness meditations, gardening for families, etc.
But to do it specifically For Him.
Having no idea what that work would look like, I took a faith step. And then another.
And He led me to these women (pics) in the March retreat. And to the women in the February and January retreats.
And to incredible experiences.
And to them experiencing miracles.
We just finished our third retreat in three months. What the women from the end of January are receiving now in a matter of weeks from their disciple-focused efforts is nothing short of a miracle.
One woman yearned to teach more fully and expansively simple gardening to malnourished people in third-world countries. Within weeks she received an offer for her dream job, working with a non-profit that has her values, vision, and scope (to reach 20 million people). And she is able to do it family-first, setting her boundaries on time and energy to successfully navigate being a Mom And. And the abundance expands. Their family members are experiencing blessings and shifts in a short, faith-infused time.
One woman shared that this disciple-focus has blessed her husband’s work and her daughter’s extra-curricular activities and friendship opportunities. This is all while receiving more clients in her purpose, and with more ease.
Miracles. Because of Him.
Because of learning, loving, and being more focused on sharing about the Savior in, as Elder Uchtdorf says, “normal and natural ways” in knowing who we are and what we are to do, For Him.
“The more you learn about the Savior, the easier it will be to trust in His mercy, His infinite love, and His strengthening, healing, and redeeming power. The Savior is never closer to you than when you are facing or climbing a mountain with faith.” –Russell M. Nelson
I know this is true. I’ve seen it. I’ve experienced it in these last three months with women from diverse backgrounds but who share a common rooted love of the Savior. As we have connected, synergized, and supported each other we have experienced the moving of mountains with our individual and collective faith.
This past week I’ve seen more miracles unfold. It’s breathtaking in its ease. I literally stand back, all amazed, knowing it’s not just for me, or for the women I work with. It’s for each of us, in our sphere, as we focus On Him.
My thought-question for you today is perfectly posed by President Russell M. Nelson: “What would you do if you had more faith? Think about it. Write about it. Then receive more faith by doing something that requires more faith.”
Today, choose. Choose to do your something that requires more faith.
And watch Him work your miracles.
