With the 8-week challenge coming to a close, it doesn’t mean that your fitness goals that you have laid in place have to suffer. You have learned what works and what doesn’t. Keep to those goals and let them be apart of your life.
Keep Your Fitness Goals Apart of Your Life
As we have less than a month to go before spring is officially here, winter is a great time to get into shape for the spring and summer months. Once the snow thaws we tend to be more on the go. Whether we have more errands, have weekend get-away’s or start planning for that family vacation, we can still create an environment where we can have fitness on the go.
Last year with our family vacation, I packed away my fitness dvd’s and resistance bands. Light weight and portable, there is no excuse. If staying in a hotel, most have an exercise room where you can jump on the treadmill or jump in the pool. If you are camping, there is always hiking. There really isn’t anything you can’t do.
Your food choices don’t need to suffer either. With our family vacation last year, we did hiking every single day and so I was able to have a few treats during the week which didn’t sabotage my diet. It was all in moderation and I didn’t gain any weight. Pre-pack 100 calories worth of snacks for easy snacking. Any type of nuts are easy to measure out and tuck away in easy Ziploc sandwich bags or protein bars. My favorite is Kind Bars. Low in sugar and all of them are under 200 calories and always bring that water bottle with you.
The thing to remember most is to plan ahead when on the go. Without planning you might be subjected to eating fast food, drinking soda and other unhealthy choices. Don’t let the foundation you have already set for yourself, crack. You can do anything you set your mind to. You can do it and good luck!
