“Too often we reach out there for solutions, believing in a magical fix to gain more time, energy, just more something. But we don’t need to look to media or a person of the week. The simple Holy Habits of prayer, scripture study, and listening to personal promptings will lead us to custom-made answers.” [Faithful, Fit & Fabulous, Chapter One]
If you’re feeling slack in any of those spiritual areas—prayer, scriptures, personal promptings—this week I invite you to choose and strengthen one. If it’s personal prayer, take two minutes to close your eyes and simply thank Him for your life, your loved ones, and your blessings. For scripture, think on scripture heroes, or heroines, whose life stories have impacted your life—Esther, Mary, Sariah, and more. And with promptings, remember that the Lord is waiting to direct you, but first, you must ask. Then, you can listen. Recognizing His voice will lead you to clear answers and a more fulfilling life.
All my best,
Connie
