Easy Cooking: Chicken Noodle Soup

SoupEZ Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

Prep time: 5 mins    Cook time: 10 mins
2 family size cans of Swanson Chicken Broth
1 8 oz package of frozen carrots
1 8 oz package of frozen peas
2 or 3 stalks of celery, cut in slices (optional)
2 or 3 family size cans of canned chicken, drained
1 8 oz package of any pasta (rotini or penne are good)
Cornstarch to favorite consistency
Salt and pepper to taste
This is super slick. Empty the broth into a soup pot, bring to a boil. Add carrots, peas, celery and pasta. Boil until pasta is cooked (generally 9-11 mins.) In the last minute, add canned chicken and cornstarch for thickening (about 1-2 TBSP dissolved in water then stirred into soup).
Serve with store or homemade rolls–I actually made my own last week (wonder of wonders). A warm, fast dinner perfect on a rainy, fall evening.
Enjoy!
