My Movara Fitness Week: Day 2!

For ONE week, I’m a guest at the Movara Fitness Resort in Ivins, Utah (by St. George), formerly the home of one of the Biggest Loser camps.   It’s a dream come true!  And through an amazing chain of events, I’m here for a week on a mission to find out: what is this kind of experience actually like; is it worth doing; and what will the take-home be?
I’m not a believer in quick weight loss or superficial changes. My goal isn’t to drop a ton of weight (what a bonus though…:) I want an educational experience as well as a lifestyle boost. When I go home, I want to take the tools with me for more than a week and share them with my family.
Before I head over to another tasty lunch right now (the chicken parmesan last night was only 400 cals!), I thought I’d share my goals with you. With only one week I want to make the most of this experience.
I’m doing a B2B “Stacking” goal style. I choose up to four areas to focus on (rather than my mantra of one goal). For each area I choose key words to keep in mind while experiencing the classes and workouts. Then a specific, tangible goal that I can accomplish by week’s end.
My ultimate goal is to accomplish two goals at a level 10, one between 8 and 10, and the last between 6-8. That way I’m progressing in my key goals, but getting the flywheel started in a few other areas too without stressing myself out.

Spiritual: heal, cleanse, replenish
Do: Listen to or read 5 talks to prepare for upcoming B2B presentations and personal study in free time or during hikes.  [Just listened again to Sweet Above All that is Sweet from Sheri Dew–PHENOMENAL. Every time I learn something new from that talk, found at byutv.org].
Physical: rest, replenish (my new fave word), rejuvenate
Do: Lose X number (I’m not telling, but it’s on my sticky note!) of pounds by doing the schedule, and visualize night/morning
Mental: learn, create, revive
Do: In evening hours, creative write on one of 3 projects, my choice for a total of 8 hours for the week.
Emotional: joy, savor, process, choose
Do: clear emotions, journal nightly, soak in the joy, be present

And my fave part of the Back to Basics program, my REWARD for these goals is to choose a few spa services here to not only enjoy, but quality check–“It’s all for the cause, ladies”!! My shoulders are dreaming of a massage. Looks like I better get busy on those goals…:)
Feel free to join me in setting a goal you want to achieve this week and make your own reward (and then use it–so many women don’t!!)  And feel free to email any questions you’d like to ask the fitness experts here. I have a list of my own and will be sharing what I learn. Fire away!
Here’s to great goals and excellent learning this week. Thanks for joining this journey with me!
Best,
Connie
