LDStorymakers Conference–WOW!

Was fortunate to attend the LDStorymakers conference, a fabulous once-a-year gathering for LDS writers. Absolutely marvelous to connect with other writers who are value-based and desire to make a positive difference.

I felt so thankful to learn from and hang out with wonderful authors including my Writing Group.
One experience was “chatting” with Brandon Sanderson–I wanted an autographed book for my son, Ethan. But beautifully, I had done a book signing at Costco earlier this year where he was on one side of the store and I was on the opposite. So I ran over to get another book signed for my son but the line was long and I was supposed to be at my table. Brandon graciously said, “I’ll sign it no problem, you’re a colleague.” Talk about gracious–a piddly author like me, made my day:)
imagesSo here is my shout out to developing your talents, whatever they may be–art, photography, quilting, crafting, cooking or whatever. Do something this week to move forward, even if it’s one small step, it can steadily giant leap you to where you want to be:)
Best,
Connie
